CUSTOM POOL BUILDER BRISBANE

STEP 1: PLANS AND CONTRACT

After the initial on-site meeting and sketch plan, you will receive a detailed quote from Custom Pools and once agreed upon we can make a start.  Upon signing & paying the deposit you will be on course for the next step.

STEP 2: APPROVALS

Engineers engaged to perform approvals and soils tests.  They then provide reports that both your pool builder and local Council require.

STEP 3: PRE-EXCAVATION MEETING

This is a double check prior to the excavation teams’ arrival to discuss positioning the pool and consultation on final design aspects.

STEP 4: POOL EXCAVATION

Most of our clients find this experience a really exciting time. The excavators dig the hole for your new pool, prior to the formwork and concrete pour construction stage.  It all becomes very real.

STEP 5: CHOOSING POOL FINISHES

This is the fun part, generally our clients have already chosen their finishes.  But if you haven’t now is the time, things you should consider are:

• Interior Pool Colour or Tiles
• Coping Tiles (the pool surround)
• Internal Pool Lighting
• Ladder
• Choice of Filtration

At this stage you may also consider your landscaping, decking etc, Custom Pools can assist with landscaping or you may choose your own.

STEP 6: FORM WORK AND CONCRETE POUR

A team of steel fixers will build the internal steel frame or formwork, it’s really taking place. Certification of the internal steel frame will be done by the engineers prior to the concrete being poured. Then concretors will spray and form up the concrete interior of your new pool.

STEP 7: CONCRETE CURE / PLUMBING / TILING / ELECTRICS

The next step is to install the plumbing and filtration system, lay the perimeter coping tiles, install solar (if required) and finally the pool fencing.
An electrician will be required to install the power supply to the filtration system, earth wire and install a 12 volt transformer for lighting.
An approved pool resuscitation sign must also be fixed within the pool area in a high visibility position under Australian law.
The backwash is also required to be connected to your storm water or an alternate to this is a rubble pit.  Specifications may vary between Councils and it is also best to check this.

STEP 8: CERTIFICATION AND POOL FENCING

This is the finale!  Your pool is just about ready, a Certifier is engaged for final sign off to comply with Australian Pool Fencing laws. Once certification is received you are free to enjoy your beautiful new Custom Pool.
